Kristin Horan ’13
Kristin Horan is from Fryeburg, Maine. Drawn to PSU for its well-respected art program and close-knit community, she earned her BFA in 2D Studio Art with a concentration in printmaking. While at PSU, Kristin’s work focused on dreams, specifically the shift from nightmare to waking dream. She worked primarily with aquatint etchings, among other print processes. “I truly enjoyed my time at PSU,” she says. “The BFA program is incredibly well rounded, inclusive, and diverse. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and willing to help. I worked with some amazing people, and learned so much.”
After graduation, she researched and visited several graduate schools ultimately selecting Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Kristin received a graduate research assistant position to work with the head of Indiana University’s MFA printmaking program, as well as a full tuition waiver and a stipend.
