ben-headshotBen Amsden (Director and Associate Professor) specializes in community and industry engagement, intellectual asset management and technology transfer, workforce development, program administration and evaluation, strategic planning, and university relations. With work experience in both industry and higher ed, Ben has developed faculty and student engagement with a wide array of partners including businesses, community members, elected officials, state and federal agencies, civic organizations, volunteers, and non-profits.


Rachelle Lyons (Manager of Community Programs and Contract Faculty) manages community-initiated partnerships and organizes field-based learning opportunities for students across multiple clusters through site visits, field trips, and other academic opportunities. Rachelle oversees the Community Education program, including community workshops, summer programming (Mindflight and youth camps), and on-line education programs (Ed2Go, MindEdge, and Center for Legal Studies). Rachelle is also a First Year fellow and contract faculty in Environmental Science and Policy.
