NHED Licensure Requirements

Following is the process for licensure recommendation most of which occurs after completion of the internship in teaching.

PSU & Holmes Center

1) Submit graduation application by Registrar deadline.

2) After semester grades close, the Registrar audits your transcript for Degree Conferral.

3) Holmes Center Licensure Officer reviews transcripts and recommendation requirements.

4) Registrar notifies Holmes Center of your Degree Conferral.

5) The Holmes Center Licensure Officer recommends you to NHED and notifies you via email to your PSU account.

NH Education Department

6) NHED receives your licensure recommendation from the Holmes Center Licensure Officer.

7) You complete the licensure application via your NHED EIS account (fee). Make sure your account can be accessed with a personal email account (not just PSU).

Complete content area tests as required (vary by program; fee/s) and upload to your EIS account.

8) NHED will notify you when your licensure application is approved.

Note:

  • Degree conferral (by Registrar) can take 2-4 weeks to complete.
  • Per NHED rules, graduates must submit/complete the licensure application requirements within 3 years of completing the program and being recommended for licensure.
