Accreditation

All teacher certification programs are approved by the  New Hampshire Department of Education and Nationally Accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP). Specialized Program Association (SPA) recognition is by program. PSU graduates from teacher certification education programs are eligible to apply for licensure in the state of NH. The US Department of Education maintains a contact database for state education agencies in all 50 US states for students seeking certification outside of NH.

All Professional Educator Preparation programs have full approval.

PSU Initial Teacher Preparation (ITP) programs hold full accreditation by AAQEP – June 2026.

PSU programs hold full accreditation to December 31, 2024. The Initial Teacher preparation programs reviewed in 2017/2019 were Art Education, Digital Learning Specialist, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Education, Health Education, Math Education, Music Education, Physical Education, Special Education, and T.E.S.O.L. The Advanced programs reviewed in 2021 were School Psychology and Library Media Specialist.

School Counseling holds national accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of  Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
