International Undergraduate Requirements

  • Panther application (for undergraduate admissions and Summer Academic Language Program);
  • Notarized copies of your high school transcript translated into English;
  • Notarized copies of your college transcript translated into English (if you are a transfer student);
  • Notarized 2016-2017 International Financial Certification Form, which includes copies of bank verification (evidence of financial ability to afford university costs);
  • A copy of your valid passport and visa;
  • Proof of English language proficiency (see below).


Proof of English language proficiency

If you’re from a country where English isn’t the primary language, you must provide evidence of English proficiency.

Students who meet the following English proficiency scores will enter their academic degree program:

  • TOEFL score (minimum paper score=530; online score=71),
  • IELTS score (minimum score=6.0 with no band less than 6.0),
  • PTE Academic score (minimum score of 52).

Students who meet the following English proficiency scores will be placed in the Semester for Academic Language Success* (SALS) as part of their academic degree program:

  • TOEFL score (minimum paper score=500-529; online score=61-70),
  • IELTS score (minimum score=5.5 with no band less than 5.0),
  • PTE Academic score (minimum score of 46-51),
  • ELS Language Centers completion of Level 112.

Students who do not meet the full English proficiency scores can apply to the Summer Academic Language Program (SALP). Scores to be admitted to this program:

  • TOEFL score (iBT: 51 or greater; PBT: 450),
  • IELTS score (minimum =5.0 with no band less than 4.5),
  • PTE Academic score (40 or greater),
