Students have a variety of options for getting involved in globalization efforts at PSU.  Students have the option of being part of the Global Ambassador program, and/or the Study Abroad Peer Advising program, among a variety of other options.

International Education Week 2021 (Nov 15-18)

International Education Week (IEW), November 15-18, 2021, is nationally celebrated event. It provides the opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and global experiences. Please join us for the this years events

Flag Parade

Monday, Nov 15th at 11:30 am
We will start the parade near the Pemi Statue and walk past Rounds toward Russel house and then loop back towards the HUB and end near Speare. French Club Film Screening

Monday, Nov 15th – 7:00-9:00pm in Museum of White Mountains
The French Club will be showing a French film called “Visages Villages” which is about two artists traveling around France making murals of everyday people. Light refreshments will be provided.

Geography Club Trivia

Tuesday, Nov 16th at 6:30pm at the Grotto
Please join the Geography Club for a night of trivia that will have a geography theme, but include topics such as sports, entertainment, flags, and current events. Note that it is $5 per person to participate and teams of 4 people or fewer. Questions should be directed to Reed Silvers (

The Global Engagement Office presents a unqiue seminar series that will include three of our international students from the Ukraine, Czech Republic, and Canada. Chinese Calligraphy Workshop

Thursday, Nov 18th – 11:00-12:00pm in Hyde 233

Global Engagement Office Undergraduate Fellow

The student receives a paid fellowship to engage with, oversee, and become involved with all aspects of the Global Engagement Office in the Center for Success Speare 108. This includes (but not limited to) involvement with international student orientation, the Global Ambassador leadership program, Panther Partners, Language Circles and Culture Shares, managing daily aspects of the GEO, managing social media and more.

Global Engagement Office Peer Advisors

Peer-advisors work in the GEO office for the academic year to support daily office tasks as well as help support students who are looking to study abroad in their first steps of the process. Peer Advisors apply for this position and are interviewed and selected by GEO staff.

The Global Ambassadors Program 

A unique student leadership program whose mission is to promote global awareness at PSU and to develop globally-minded student leaders through event planning, project development and other related programs. Global Ambassadors also act as Global Orientation Leaders who will welcome PSU’s incoming international students. Global Ambassadors are key team leaders for the Fall international orientation program (1 full week before classes begin) which includes immigration, academic and cultural presentations, social events, shopping trips, and mentoring newcomers to the United States, and Plymouth State University!
