The Town of Lancaster, the Center for Rural Partnerships, and the Department of History, Philosophy, & Social Studies Education are pleased to announce the launch of “Lancaster, NH: Stories of People and Places.” The project, led by Linda Upham-Bornstein and Rebecca More, used a unique “Township Legacy Guide” to help the community celebrate the township’s 250th anniversary. History student Michael Desroches spent the past year researching and developing the Township Legacy Guide model in concert with the Town of Lancaster administration, the staff of Weeks Memorial Library, and members of The Lancaster Historical Society. Assisted by Social Science major Amanda Gagne, Michael also presented his work at the NH Historic Preservation Alliance conference in May.
