COVID-19 Enhanced Retirement Program (CERP) For Tenured Faculty

  • Offered to all tenured faculty over the age 59 ½ and a minimum of 10 years of service.
  • A year and a half (1.5) of annual base salary as salary continuation
  • Health benefits at the employee rate until age 65 (Medicare eligibility)
  • Additional one-time payment of $500 per year of status service for that are age 62 – up to 65, an additional one-time payment of $1,000 per year of status service for those 65 and over
  • Up to 5 ½ years of medical coverage or $15,000 one-time payment for those that waive medical coverage
    • COBRA will be offered for dental and vision benefits.
    • All other benefits including retirement, will continue until the last day of the month in which the employee retires.

COVID-19 Enhanced Separation Program (CESP)

  • Offered to tenured faculty in programs other than the listed below with a minimum of 5 years of status service and not eligible for the Early Retirement Program
  • A year and a half (1.5) of annual base salary as salary continuation
  • Health benefits at the employee rate for 1.5 years, or until age 65 (Medicare eligibility), or $15,000 one-time payment for those that waive medical coverage.
    • COBRA will be offered for dental and vision benefits.
    • All other benefits including retirement, will continue until the last day of the month in which the employee separates.
