Enterprise Technology and Services team (ET&S) is committed to serving the university’s information technology needs. We recognize that 24/7 access to technology services is a need in today’s global society. Therefore, we occasionally make use of a weekly maintenance window on Sunday mornings to perform system upgrades and maintenance.
We provide web development, system maintenance, and support for centralized administrative applications, technology infrastructure, and client computing, as well as support and advice for a wide variety of other information technology needs. ET&S consists of the following six main areas:
Application Administration and Development
Applications and Development (A&D) provides development, maintenance, and support for centralized applications such as the myPlymouth Portal, Banner Student Information System (INB), MySQL and Oracle databases, WordPress, and administrative oversight for Moodle, Mahara and more.
Client Services and Academic Technology
Client Services provides support, advice, and is the central point of contact for the use of all ITS services and infrastructure. The ITS HelpDesk, Academic Technology and Classroom Technology Services are part of Client Services.
Infrastructure Services provides for the management of core infrastructure such as the campus data network and phone network. Infrastructure services also manages the campus firewall and the Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Institutional Research and Assessment
Institutional Research and Assessment provides data analytics and support through report and dashboard development, reporting and analytics tools training and access.
Technology Systems and Services
Technology Services provides management of the centralized Data Center, email administration, Campus Computer Clusters, Desktop Support and the Computer Repair Center.
