PSU students may borrow an unlimited number of books during the academic year. The student loan period is 30 days. The library may recall a book after fourteen days, if requested by another patron. A student’s PSU I.D. serves as the borrower’s library card. Cards are non-transferable to other patrons. The owner of the card will be held responsible for any lost, overdue or damaged books charged out in his name. The Reserve collection consists of course related readings, permanent departmental materials, magazines, newspapers, and a selection of heavily used Reference materials. Students who need access to reserve materials can expedite the process by providing the course number (ex. BU-3180-01) to the Information Desk staff.

In addition, Classroom Technology Services can provide portable AV equipment to support the use of technology in spaces that are not permanently equipped.
The residential network (ResNet) enables students to access their electronic mail and the Internet through a directly wired connection in their on campus residences. ResTechs are students employed by the Info Desk who are trained to support the ResNet program in a variety of ways. ResTech responsibilities include assisting students with gaining network access, educating users about the effects of viruses and malware, and assisting with the installation of peripherals. Please contact the Information Desk at x2929 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a ResTech visit.
