Panther athletics exemplify the Plymouth spirit. Whether you’re a serious athlete, a weekend warrior, or simply a fan, sports will strengthen your connection to the campus community. We offer eight men’s and 11 women’s varsity teams that compete in the NCAA Division III.
Active Living, Learning, and Wellness (ALLWell) North is an advanced academic and athletic complex that strengthens the connection between classroom learning and hands-on experiences for students majoring in programs including Athletic Training, Adventure Education, Health, Physical Education, and Exercise and Sport Physiology.
The 107,600-square-foot complex includes a large-scale, multi-use space that not only supports PSU’s Department of Health and Human Performance’s academic, research, and outreach activities but also provides students with safe, attractive, and modern athletics and recreational facilities, including a full-size track and indoor tennis courts.

Recreation Programs offers many clubs and intramural ranging from golf to Ultimate Frisbee. State-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight-training facilities are open to all students, as are all manner of exercise classes from yoga to kickboxing.
The PE Center has over 33 acres of playing fields for the athletic teams and an additional 12 acres used by the Intramural/Recreation Department. More information about fitness room and pool hours as well as the Community Aquatics Program is available on the PE Center web site.
If you are looking for positive adventure experiences on an outdoor or indoor ropes courses, an indoor rock climbing, on a river, a lake, a trail, or a snow slope; the Outdoor Center has it all. We have equipment for rental (kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle board, backpacking equipment and snow activities equipment) which will help you access and enjoy the great outdoors. Have the desire but not the skills or experience, no worries, we also offer outdoor adventure activities for the college community through our SOAR (Student Outdoor Adventure Recreation) program. We also offer community building adventure-based training to PSU groups and organizations or groups and organizations from Plymouth community and broader region through our CALE (Community Adventure Learning Experiences) program.
The Ice Arena is home to Plymouth State Panther men’s and women’s hockey and offers programs to the general public including open skate sessions, youth hockey, figure skating programs, broomball, curling and learn-to-skate and learn-to-play-hockey sessions.
