Your five weeks at the Summer Writing Institute inspired you to rethink your teaching practice and stay connected to your new National Writing Project community. Then, the day-to-day demands of the classroom interfered, maybe even took over. The excitement you felt over the summer began to fade. Remember how we told you that the writing project was an ongoing network?
If so, please join us in Concord, Saturday April 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for ReNew, a new NWPNH event for all past writing project fellows and interested colleagues. It’s free and lunch is included. The day will be focused on teaching empathy and teaching with empathy. You will read and write and do the kinds of things we do in the summer institute, and walk away with lots to think about, renewed energy and ideas to try in your classroom. You’ll hear about the NWPNH’s newest initiatives and reconnect with friends. Staff development certificate will be provided.
