I am honored to say that I have been admitted as the first student into Plymouth State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Currently, I am an undergraduate at PSU with a major in Exercise and Sport Physiology and during my course work I have had the pleasure of learning under a few of the professors that now make up the faculty of PSU’s new DPT program. The faculty is extraordinary and I can say from firsthand experience that they always put their students first and go over and beyond expectations.
In addition to the faculty, I am also extremely excited about this program because of the rare opportunity to be a part of a new movement of evolving education to fit an evolving career field such as Physical Therapy. This program is unlike any other because it has been constructed based on what Physical Therapy is today and not what it was five or ten years ago. And it has been developed with a flexible curricular design to allow it to adapt and change as needed. I know when I graduate in 2020 as PSU’s DPT inauguration class I will be exceptionally prepared and will further lead as an exceptional Physical Therapist.
