PSU DPT Professors, Dr Cheryl Coker and Dr. Marjorie King have teamed up and taken their expertise to the slopes! In winter 2017 issue of “32 Degrees” magazine they have published an article titled: Variable-Practice Instruction: The Merits of Mixing it Up.

The article presents the concept, benefits and how to utilize variable practice to ski coaches. It concludes:

“By changing things up each run and even within each run, not only will your clients better refine their technique, but they will develop the versatility needed to adapt their movements to a variety of performance conditions.”

32 Degrees magazine is a membership benefit of the PSIA/AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors) which is the world’s largest organization dedicated to teaching people how to ski and snowboard.
