The Officers of the Plymouth State University Police Department welcome you to campus!

The University Police Department provides policing services 24 hours a day, 7-days a week. We are staffed with certified police officers authorized to provide services throughout both communities of Plymouth and Holderness.

The University Police are the primary responders to criminal matters and security needs on our Plymouth and Holderness campus locations. We are also responsible for the apprehension and prosecution of criminal offenders on the campus of Plymouth State University. Policing needs that occur off campus are generally served by local police.

Our priority is to work with students, faculty and staff to foster a safe environment for those working, visiting, and living within the campus community.

The University Police Department is located at 2 High Street, Plymouth, NH (adjacent to the roundabout and the Draper & Maynard Building).

Director’s Welcome

As Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management at Plymouth State University, I’d like to welcome you to our community.

The University Police Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all University students, guests, and employees by cultivating a safe and secure environment.

University Police works in partnership with other PSU departments and members of the community to nurture an environment that exercises enforcement balanced with an educational and restorative perspective. We strive to foster partnerships by employing an impartial, customer-service attitude which is respectful, courteous, and professional, and focuses on protection and prevention. We believe this can best be accomplished through community-oriented problem solving based on partnerships with students, staff, and faculty.

Thank you for helping us make Plymouth State University a safe community, and a great place to live and work. Please feel free to contact our department with questions on the services we provide.
