This Campus Safety Alert is being distributed in accordance with the “Timely Warning” provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act of 1998. Campus Safety Alerts are distributed to the campus community when a Clery Act crime is reported to have occurred on or within a University owned or controlled facility or property that may represent a serious or continuing threat to the safety of the campus community.
REPORTED OFFENSE: The Plymouth Police Department is investigating an incident which involved a PSU student reported being struck in the head with an object while the student was walking near the intersection of Langdon Street and School Street.
This incident taking place on Wednesday April 4, 2022, at about 9:00 PM.
This incident took place off campus and in close proximity to Plymouth State University.
The suspects in this matter drove by the student and propelled an object (may have been from a slingshot) from a moving vehicle.
It is believed this was a random act.
The student was not seriously injured but did seek medical attention.
SUSPECT(S): The suspect propelled an object from a moving vehicle described at a dark colored 4-door sedan. This is the only information currently available.
