Robin Dorff, PhD, joined Plymouth State University as provost and vice president for academic affairs in June of 2018. He is internationally-recognized expert in strategy and planning.
Provost Dorff previously served as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kennesaw State University, a member of the University System of Georgia. He was chief academic and administrative officer and led, managed, and supervised all operations.
Prior to Kennesaw State, Provost Dorff served as research professor of national security affairs at the Strategic Studies Institute at the U.S. Army War College, where he was the General Douglas MacArthur Chair of Research.
After completing his MA and PhD at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, Provost Dorff held faculty positions at Michigan State University and North Carolina State University. He is the recipient of the U.S. Army Superior Civilian Service Award, the U.S. Army Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, and the U.S. Secretary of State Distinguished Public Service Award.
