What is Compensatory Time?
Compensatory Time (comp time) is in lieu of pay for extra hours worked, up to a maximum of 240 hours per year. You and your supervisor must agree in advance that you will receive compensatory time instead of pay for extra hours, including overtime. This time must be listed on your official time record as comp time.
